This is the custom "trioc" inlay at the 12th fret, chosen because it has a special meaning to the owner. It is an ancient symbol for the name of Jesus Christ. It is made up of many individual pieces of maple to give it this nice mitered appearance. Also notice the hemispherical fret end treatment, a time-consuming, but very functional and visually appealing option.
