Spruce/Blue Myrtle Drednaught

You can see the wild figure in this unique Curly Oregon Myrtle, recovered from the bottom of a quicksand pond by my friends at Northwest Timber. It seems the log had lay in the pond for about the last 100 years, where it cured. After salvaging it and sawing it, it was evident that it had taken on a unique color. Sold as "Blue Myrtle", I bought a billet of it after seeing the pictures emailed to me by Sara Judy. I was able to resaw it into guitar sets, of which there are (4). This is the first instrument built from this wonderful wood. There will only be (3) more, then it's all gone. The color is very bronze/gold with very deep curl - it almost looks furry.
