This is a closer view of the Kermodie Spruce used for this top. Kermodie Spruce grows only in a specific area of the Skeena river valley in British Columbia. A naturally occurring hybrid cross of Englemann and Sitka spruce, it has excellent stiffness and tonal color. Kermodie is a trademarked brand name owned by Mario DaCosta of SpruceToneWood. The silking is excellent and is a credit to the skill of the sawyer. The light bearclaw figure is also visible.
